Compass Pattern
With many space dyed color options to choose from, start this beautiful basket with a simple herringbone twill woven base. The side weaving is started by making cat ears in each corner while weaving a quatrefoil to create the 'compass'. After completing the twill portion of the side weaving, work on shaping the sides to form a bowl. Add the same space dyed weavers and rim to match the base weaving. The rim is lashed with waxed linen. Twill experience is highly recommended.
