This patriotic double wall basket was woven in honor of our country turning 250 years old. Start the herringbone twill base in Cardinal Red and Natural. Use the Cardinal Red spokes to form an inside wall of red and white stripes. Use the natural spokes to form the outside wall. Techniques are given to help keep the two walls together and prepare the walls for rimming. On the outside wall learn triple twine with a step up and Rand weave (or diagonal weave) with specialty dyed weavers in Red, White and Blue. (directions on how to dye in the pattern) Top the basket with two swing handles for easy carrying.

This twisting twill is an eye-catching element in this beautiful basket. Many color combinations are available. (email or call for other color options) After completing the base weaving, learn a 4 x 1 twill weave up the sides of the basket. Pattern is provided with both written and graph instructions for weaving ease. Twill experience is highly recommended. Shaping and spoke placement are emphasized in the pattern to achieve the desired shape of this basket. Spoke weight and small packing tool are recommended to weave.

Starting on a wood base, weave this beautiful basket in two of your favorite colors. The basket features an eye-catching double arrow weave. Work on shaping this round basket as you weave up the sides. Top the basket with two leather handles for easy carrying.

Finished Basket Size: 12” x 12” x 9”
Start this useful basket with an open weave base. Weave stop/start weaving with a adjustment/step over on each side to create a spiral up all four sides of the basket. The side weaving is completed with Space Dyed Reed in many color options. Top the basket with a simple rim with an extra splash of color. Add a New England style swing handle for easy carrying.

As part of my ‘Days of the Week’ series, weave this very useful basket to use on laundry day! This large basket features a closed woven base, stop/start weaving, spoke overlays and an eye-catching embellishment woven with Hamburg Cane. Top the basket with two wooden bushel handles for easy carrying.

This fun basket has a little of ‘this’ and a little of ‘that’ in the weaving. Learn twining, triple twining, continuous twill weave, stop/start weave, ascending weave and forming your handle with the rim filler. The basket starts with a wood base. Many color options are available.

As part of my ‘Day of the Week’ series, this ‘hump day’ basket starts on a ‘D’ style handle with an open weave base. Choose from a variety of dyed #2 RR to weave up the sides and create the beautiful braided border. Learn ascending weave to create the waving movement in weaving at the top of the basket.

About Gina
Gina began weaving baskets at the local Community Education when her youngest son was a year old – that was over twenty five years ago. Choosing to be a stay at home mom when her children were young, basket weaving became an outlet for her artistic side. At this time she has over 150 patterns written, has had works published in two basket magazines and has won several awards in exhibit rooms at many different basket conventions. Her baskets have been sold and displayed not only locally, but all over the world.
