In The Wind Kit
After weaving an open weave base, add dyed reed filler spokes in a criss cross fashion for an interesting and sturdy base weave. Up the sides of the basket, weave both over/under and twill weave to create the ‘wind’ motion in the weaving. Learn triple twine with a step up. After adding a handle for easy carrying, embellish the sides of the basket with dyed round reed to create the ‘blowing wind’ effect.
