Top the basket with a square top handle for easy carrying. Choose a simple color embellishment on the sides or add a little extra color for a fun geometrical element.

Using Aspen Space Dyed reed (Tan, Peach and Rust Brown) weave a simple twill base to start this fun fall basket. Learn a continuous twill up the sides of the basket while working on shaping and weaving tension. Finish the weaving with a double knotted space dyed rim. A pair of leather leaves in oak or maple or a clay leaf in oak or maple are added as an embellishment.

Use my new Solid Dyed reed to weave this lovely basket. Imitation Smoke Solid Dyed reed replaces the commercially made Smoked reed for a more user friendly and quality dyed weaving experience. Weave the open base using two different size spokes on a rectangle hoop handle. Learn to shape the basket around the handle while weaving triple twine in a spiral ‘smoke’ effect. Triple twine in a spiral effect in the center and again at the top of the basket.

As part of my days of the week series, start this usable basket with a closed woven bottom using your favorite color. Add Braided Seagrass as spokes and weavers for a great textured weaving element. Top the basket with two swing handles to make filling the basket and carrying the basket easy.

Weave a partially closed base to start this adorable basket. Weave simple start stop weaving up the sides of the basket while working on spoke placement and weaving tension for a shapely basket. Before rimming, create a zig/zag zipper in each corner of the basket using a dyed spoke and dyed cane. Add a wood handle for easy carrying. A GREAT gift idea!

After weaving a simple, open weave base, work on shaping up the sides of the basket. Using dyed cane, learn ti-twine to create a stunning look. Double cross the rim of the basket with dyed cane. Finish the basket with a narrow, elegant handle for easy carrying. Finish off the side weaving with more double crosses in dyed cane for an eye-catching embellishment.
